Mitacs Interns Join CILS Research Lab at Acadia University
Two Mitacs-supported research interns have joined the CILS Research Lab at Acadia University under the supervision of Dr. Lydia Bouzar Benlabiod. During their internships, they will contribute to research in Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning (PPML) for healthcare applications.
Ahmed Sabbeh's research focuses on Federated Learning for medical image analysis, exploring challenges such as non-IID data distributions and communication efficiency.
Mohamed Yassine Ezzaouia's work investigates the application of Differential Privacy to medical image classification, with the goal of strengthening privacy guarantees while maintaining high diagnostic accuracy.
Their projects contribute to the development of secure and trustworthy artificial intelligence systems for healthcare.
