A Rough Guide to New Media in the Annapolis Valley
Michael Caplan

Abstract
Digital, interactive, networkable, the Internet, the web, computer multimedia, mobile, video games, augmented reality: these are a sampling of the formats and modes of engagement that define new media.  In this talk we will take a tour of the Annapolis Valley, exploring the projects, people, and business that make up our new media landscape.  We will sample some of the innovative home grown new media software projects, individuals making culture using the tools of new media, and our ecosystem supporting the growth of existing and startup new media businesses.
