Acadia University will be closed on Monday January 26, 2026 due to expected weather conditions.

All classes are cancelled for the day. Employees and students are not expected to come to campus and only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Non-essential employees are not expected to work during the closure. Residence buildings will be accessible, and Wheelock Dining Hall will be open but at reduced hours.

Strategies for Successful Research Writing

Dr. Stephen Ahern

Abstract

This presentation will offer helpful tips on how to write academic reports and articles that communicate research results clearly and intelligently -- and so will impress your reader as a result. Real world models from successful Comp Sci reports will be used to show how to do it right.

About the Presenter

Dr. Stephen Ahern has been Coordinator of the Acadia Writing Centre since 2004. He is also a Professor in the Department of English and Theatre.
