BCS - Bachelor of Computer Science

Description:

The BCS degree is a 4-year degree meant to meet and exceed CIPS and ACM standards for undergraduate programs by providing a mix of computational theory, systems and architecture knowledge, problem solving, systems analysis and application development skills and experience. The degree requires that all core courses (63 of 120 hrs; 3 hrs = a 1 term course) be completed with C- or better and a CGPA of 2.0. The on-going development of interpersonal, communication, team work, project management and entrepreneurial skills are important elements of many courses. With 7 (21 hrs) electives available, a student is able to build her/his degree in computer science around other areas of science, arts and/or professional studies at Acadia.
