Alumni Ambassador Francis Lau

Francis Lau was born in Hong Kong. He received his BSc in computer science from Acadia in 1979. He then went on to do graduate study at the University of Waterloo. Since 1987, he has been a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong where he served as the department head from 2000 to 2005. His research interests are in high-performance computing systems, and the application of computing to arts and music.
