Assistant Professor - Tenure Track - Jodrey School of Computer Science

The Jodrey School of Computer Science invites applications from candidates for one of three tenure-track positions commencing on 1 July 2023. This is a designated hire in partnership with the Nova Scotia provincial government, therefore we invite applications for the following faculty positions from women, people with disabilities, and Black, Mi’kmaq and Indigenous Canadians.   • Position #20303: Data Analytics/Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. The ideal candidate would be able to contribute to the work at the Acadia Institute of Data Analytics.
  • Position #20305: Game Development, Graphics, Mobile Computing, and Human-Computer Interaction. The ideal candidate would be able to take a leading role in our Game Development and Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing options.
  • Position #20310: Full Stack Development, Security / Information Security, and Software Development. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the current web frameworks, security measures, and software development methods
Candidates are expected to develop externally funded research programs, supervise graduate and undergraduate students, and make contributions to the School, the university, and the broader community. A strong commitment to both teaching and research is required.
The candidate will be assessed based on their demonstrated potential for post-secondary teaching excellence, their ability to develop a scholarly research program that contributes to the discipline, and their potential service to the university and community.
Academic Qualifications: A PhD in Computer Science or a related field, either completed or within one year of completion.
